SelfPublishing.com in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to own the finance function for an eight-figure business. This is a full-time, in-person role where you close the month, manage bank and vendor reconciliations, and drive accuracy with AI-enabled processes.

You will work directly with the CEO, GM, an external accounting firm, and the family office, ensuring clear financials and strong internal controls. QuickBooks expertise and integrity are a must.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone to run the finance function for an 8 figure company. Not a task doer. The person who owns the numbers, closes the month, and makes the numbers better.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Own all day-to-day bookkeeping (QuickBooks is your jam)
• Reconcile bank & credit card statements like a boss
• Manage A/P, A/R, commissions and payouts
• Own the month end close and the P&L, not just the data entry
• Work directly with our CEO, our GM, our outside accounting firm and our family office
• Use AI every day to work faster and more accurately

Please don’t apply if you:

• Have less than 2 years of real bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Aren’t confident in QuickBooks
• Struggle with accuracy or attention to detail
• Live more than 30 minutes from West Lake Hills. This role is in office, 5 days a week
• Are not willing to use AI to do the job better really love them

Required:

• 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• You have owned the finance function somewhere, ideally at a company doing $3M or more
• Impeccable attention to detail
• High integrity + discretion with confidential info
• Great communication and time management
• Strong QuickBooks experience, and you are willing to use AI daily

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with Rippling or payroll prep
• Familiarity with financial forecasting
• Experience in online/service-based businesses
• A systems-builder mindset
• A love for learning and process improvement

The Pay:

$50,000–$70,000/year (depending on experience)
