Job summary

The role requires a second class engineer's license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and about five years of boiler operation experience including supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and completion of boiler operations or HVAC school.
• Second class engineer's license issued by the Massachusetts DPS.
• Knowledge of boiler operation and safety procedures gained with five years' experience including supervisory work.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal supervisory and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversees operation of boilers and auxiliary equipment for steam production in compliance with MA law.
• Inspect boiler plant every 5–7 days and maintain detailed inspection logs.
• Be onsite within 1 hour for serious issues unless otherwise notified.
• Supervise 3rd class Engineers, 1st/2nd class Firemen and train ops/maintenance of boiler plant.
• Maintain energy management system and perform other assigned duties.
