Job summary

Magna seeks a Senior Design & Release Engineer to lead the design, development, validation, release and launch support of Body in White structures and vehicle integration components for complete vehicle and autonomous mobility platforms.

You will own systems from concept through prototype builds, production release, validation, and launch readiness, collaborating with Program Management, CATIA, CAE, PLM, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and suppliers to deliver robust, cost-effective

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field; master's preferred.
• 10+ years automotive body engineering or related product development experience.
• Experience designing, validating, releasing mechanical/vehicle integration components.
• Experience with global teams and OEM customers; supplier collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead BODY EXTERIOR and vehicle integration systems development and release.
• Create and release CATIA models, drawings and specs.
• Manage BOMs, ECR/ECN, release docs and configurations.
• Coordinate with Program Management, QA, Purchasing and suppliers.
• Drive DFMEA, risk reduction, and design improvements.
• Support prototype, pilot and production vehicle builds and launches.
