Job summary

Magna is seeking an experienced Engineer Body to lead the design, integration and release of vehicle body and exterior components. You will own assigned subsystems from concept to launch and work with CATIA teams, suppliers, and manufacturing to deliver robust, quality solutions.

You will coordinate PLM data, BOMs, and validation activities, and collaborate across engineering and program management to meet performance, cost, and timing targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years automotive product development experience for body/exterior components.
• Experience designing/releasing parts through prototype, validation, production and launch.
• Proficiency with CATIA and PLM systems; strong GD&T knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and release body/exterior components across complete vehicle programs.
• Lead components from requirements through concept, design, validation and launch.
• Create and manage CATIA models, drawings, specs, and BOMs.
• Coordinate release in PLM and ensure data reflects design intent.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and program teams.
• Coordinate validation plans, DFMEA/PPAP reviews, and issue resolution.
• Interface with customers and cross-functional teams to meet timing and cost goals.
