Job summary

The Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group is seeking a Bodily Injury Claims Specialist Level 3 for a remote role in the United States. You will review, analyze, and resolve complex bodily injury claims, interpret policy wordings, assess reserves, and collaborate with independent adjusters and experts to support resolutions.

You will mentor junior staff and broker partners, provide technical guidance, and help improve service quality while maintaining confidentiality and strong client communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of insurance experience, preferably in claims.
• Working toward or completion of the CIP designation.
• Expert knowledge of claims regulations, policy interpretation, reserve calculations, exposure, and resolution processes.
• Ability to provide technical training and mentorship to staff and broker partners.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve complex and catastrophic bodily injury claims.
• Interpret legislation, regulations, and policy wordings; assess coverage, reserves, exposure, and costs.
• Investigate losses and coordinate independent adjusters and experts to support resolution.
• Apply mediation and claims-resolution processes, including reinsurance reporting where applicable.
• Provide technical leadership, training, and mentorship to Claims Support and Level 1/2 staff and broker partners.
• Support underwriting with claims coverage interpretation and development explanations; improve service quality and handle complaints when needed.
