Job summary

The Jonus Group seeks an experienced Senior Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster in New York to manage first- and third-party bodily injury losses and related property damage exposures. You will review coverage, liability, and negotiate settlements while guiding high-exposure claims with leadership and data-driven insights.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in commercial auto claims, including 5+ years on complex injury files, plus an active NY license or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience handling commercial auto claims, including at least 5 years managing complex injury cases.
• Minimum of 3 years working within an insurance carrier environment.
• Proven experience managing claims with values up to $1M.
• Background in handling litigated files.
• Active adjuster license in your home state (or designated home state).
• Ability to obtain a New York adjuster license within the first 90 days.
• Strong track record of meeting or exceeding performance metrics such as cycle time and recovery outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated negotiation ability.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to take ownership of results.
• Customer-focused mindset with strong accountability.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments.
