Job summary

North American Risk Services (NARS) is hiring a Senior Level Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster to work from home. The role involves managing claims, coordinating medical care, and negotiating settlements as part of a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and 401k.

Qualifications

Job Description

• Keep claim metrics current.
• Handle a case load commensurate with the complexity level of claims assigned.
• Establish facts of loss, conduct coverage analysis, investigate, determine compensability, liability, and negligence.
• Coordinate medical care (as appropriate) and manage litigation.
• Assess damages and negotiate settlements.
• Identify potential fraud and use authorized vendors appropriately.
• Provide timely reserve analysis and complete reports.
• Attend conferences, client meetings, mentor fellow adjusters, and support management as requested.
• Ensure all file handling complies with state statutes, client guidelines, and best practices.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties, which may include travel.

Education / Licensing / Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2‑year degree or higher preferred.
• 5+ years of claim adjusting experience, preferably in the relevant line of business.
• 5+ years of heavy litigation experience.
• Active Adjuster’s License required.
• Willingness and ability to obtain a Florida Adjuster’s License or other required jurisdictional license.

Technical Skills

• Negotiate claims and direct litigation.
• Handle sensitive and confidential situations with strong interpersonal skills.
• Collaborate with attorneys and arbiters on first and third‑party claims.
• Work independently with strong organization and time‑management skills.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Explain and respond effectively to auditors, clients, and potential clients during presentations.
