Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer - Boards in Santa Clara to drive complex board products from design to mass production. You will work on gaming/workstation/compute GPU cards during NPI and in production, collaborating with hardware, software, manufacturing and QA, and delivering DFx recommendations.

The role requires debugging multi-disciplinary problems, data analysis, and leading test plans to optimize yields and costs. Equity and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in two or more of: server architectures, board/PCB design, SMT, assembly or validation.
• Ability to debug multi-disciplinary problems across electrical, mechanical and thermal domains.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with testing strategies related to yields and test time.
• 5+ years in design/manufacturing/validation/product development/testing of PCBs or related systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in EE or CS or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Work on NVIDIA gaming/workstation/compute GPU cards during NPI and in production.
• Collaborate with Hardware Design, Software, Manufacturing, Quality, and Marketing to meet schedules.
• Provide DFx recommendations during design to address electrical, mechanical, and thermal challenges.
• Root cause failing boards using lab equipment and SW tools.
• Analyze yield and parametric data with available tools and scripting.
• Define and improve manufacturing test plans to optimize coverage and cost.
• Direct local and overseas contract factories to transition to mass production.
• Regularly report product status and recommend improvements to management.
