Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks an experienced engineer to own the BMS architecture, allocate product attributes, and decompose requirements across system levels. You will drive verification strategies, define acceptance criteria, and ensure traceability from analysis to results across multiple programs and suppliers.

You will lead architecture reviews, collaborate with hardware, software, and validation teams, and maintain interface control documentation while supporting ISO 26262 and cybersecurity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering.
• 6+ years in embedded electronic control system development including 3+ years on battery management or high-voltage systems.
• Deep proficiency in high-voltage battery systems and related hardware.
• Experience defining verification methods and acceptance criteria, not just requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own BMS architecture, allocation across components and control levels.
• Define operating states, fault handling, and degraded-mode behavior.
• Lead architecture reviews with internal teams and suppliers; manage traceability.
