Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH is seeking a BMET III to provide expert-level repair, installation, calibration and maintenance of sophisticated medical devices used in patient care.

Under minimal supervision, you will lead preventative maintenance and complex diagnostics, while mentoring staff and ensuring regulatory compliance. Qualifications include an Associate's Degree; a BS in Biomedical Engineering Technology or equivalent military training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology or equivalent training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and electrical safety tests on clinical devices, including life-support systems.
• Lead installation projects, monitor third party repairs and supervise routine repairs.
• Conduct in-services and training to end users on device maintenance and operation.
• Maintain accurate documentation to comply with regulatory standards.
• Provide operational leadership and may serve as a temporary supervisor.
• Make recommendations for capital purchases.
