Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a founding engineer to lead BMC firmware across server platforms. You will shape architecture, bring-up, release pipelines, security, and fleet reliability, collaborating with ODM/OEM partners. Expect to hire and mentor a growing BMC team and influence hardware roadmap decisions.

You should bring 8+ years in firmware, deep BMC expertise (OpenBMC / MegaRAC), strong C/C++ on embedded Linux, and experience with Yocto or BitBake. Competitive compensation and equity are offered.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of firmware engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with production BMC stacks (OpenBMC, MegaRAC) and embedded Linux stack.
• Experience leading BMC bring-up on new server platforms, including schematics and platform power sequencing.
• Strong C/C++ on embedded Linux; Python or shell for automation.

Responsibilities

• Define BMC architecture and stack strategy across Crusoe platforms.
• Lead BMC bring-up on new server platforms and manage release pipelines.
• Drive BMC security architecture including secure boot and attestation.
• Lead ODM/OEM partnerships and drive platform requirements and reviews.
• Build telemetry and observability for fleet reliability and define SLOs.
