Job summary

Cataldo Ambulance Service Inc. seeks a BLS Lead Instructor and certified EMS instructor to teach and evaluate EMS students, ensuring OEMS standards and protocols are followed.

The role includes developing content, conducting high-fidelity simulations, and mentoring learners through certification and recertification processes. Lead instructors deliver practical and written exams, monitor student progress, and coordinate orientation for new staff while maintaining compliance with company policies

Qualifications

• Massachusetts EMT Certification required.
• National Registry EMT Certification required.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• CPR Instructor Certification preferred.
• 3 years of BLS experience in the last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and leads orientation programs for new employees.
• Assist in creating and developing classes and criteria.
• Deliver lesson plans for EMS programs, including BLS skills.
• Provide hands-on training in skills labs and scenario oversight.
• Administer practical and written examinations with feedback.
• Mentor students in classroom and clinical settings.
• Monitor progress toward BLS recertification.
• Attend faculty meetings, training and planning sessions.
