Schwab Technology Services invites a senior blockchain engineer to design, build, and maintain full‑stack solutions for tokenized assets and on‑chain compliance. You will run permissioned EVM networks, deploy smart contracts, and integrate chain activity with off‑chain systems, partnering with product, risk, and compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, industry interoperability, and contributions to research in AI/ML, cloud-native design, and digital trust.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of systems designed.
• 3+ years in blockchain development, crypto asset management, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of blockchain architectures (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, L2) and wallet infrastructure.
• Experience running blockchain infrastructure, including Besu or Quorum networks.
• Proficiency in Solidity, Rust, Python, Go, or Java; cryptographic know-how.

Responsibilities

• Explain complex technical ideas to business partners, bridging tech and strategy.
• Evaluate blockchain architectures, frameworks, and tokenization methods for business use.
• Stay at the forefront of blockchain innovation; identify opportunities in DeFi and tokenized assets.
• Contribute to Schwab's blockchain and digital assets strategy via whitepapers and internal education.
• Build and operate permissioned EVM networks for experimentation and production readiness.
