Job summary

Beam Therapeutics is seeking a Corporate Counsel/Senior Corporate Counsel, Commercial Contracts to partner with medical affairs, commercial and manufacturing teams. You will negotiate complex commercial contracts, advise on risk, and help Beam transition to a commercial stage company.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in biotech contracting, strong written and verbal skills, and be able to manage multiple high-stakes agreements under tight timelines. Onsite 2 days per week is expected.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of experience with complex biotech contracting, ideally with commercial-stage cell and gene therapy companies.
• Ability to manage multiple high-stakes agreements to completion on tight timelines.
• Flexible and collaborative team player.
• High ethics and integrity, sound judgement and timely, pragmatic solutions.
• Candidates are expected to come onsite 2 days per week.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Additive: advising on regulatory and promotional activity related to biotech products.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate high-stakes agreements in support of Beam’s product launches with centers, partners, and manufacturers.
• Assist with legal review of pre-commercial activities, advisory boards, patient events, market access, speaker programs, and market research.
• Provide legal support to promotional material review committees.
• Provide ongoing contracting support and lifecycle management for commercial, medical affairs, manufacturing, and other teams.
• Collaborate on updates to contracting playbooks and standards.
• Draft and negotiate clinical trial, material transfer, sponsored research, service provider, and NDA agreements.
