Job summary

Jabil in Austin, TX seeks a BIOS Developer to support the development, integration, and validation of BIOS/UEFI firmware for server and platform products. You will contribute to platform bring-up, boot flow validation, and issue triage across cross-functional teams.

The role requires 5–7 years of BIOS/firmware experience, strong C/C++ skills, and the ability to analyze defects, document results, and drive continuous improvement in firmware processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 5–7 years of BIOS/firmware/embedded software or low-level platform development experience.
• Working knowledge of C/C++ and firmware debugging techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and debug BIOS/UEFI firmware features in alignment with platform architecture and product requirements.
• Support platform bring-up, boot flow validation, subsystem enablement, and issue triage during milestones.
• Analyze firmware defects, collect logs and data, and support root cause analysis and corrective action closure.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal, BMC, Validation, and Systems teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
• Support BIOS validation, regression testing, and readiness for milestone releases and manufacturing builds.
• Maintain firmware documentation, release notes, and technical communication needed for project execution.
• Contribute to code quality and continuous improvement of firmware methods.
