Job summary

Apple Inc. in Sunnyvale seeks a curious UEFI BIOS Engineer to design and validate the firmware for next‑generation server platforms, partnering with ODMs to deliver robust BIOS features and system reliability.

You will work on UEFI BIOS architecture, implement custom features, debug complex firmware issues, and collaborate across HW/SW teams to ensure secure boot, TPM, and platform hardening at scale. The role requires strong C/C++, Bash, Python skills and experience with AMI Aptio V/EDK2, ACPI,

Qualifications

• BS/MS in EE/CE/CS, or equivalent industry experience.
• 6+ yrs as a UEFI BIOS or Firmware Engineer with UEFI BIOS experience
• Strong C/C++ programming skills, including scripting in Bash and Python, are essential.
• Gain an understanding of the AMI Aptio V and EDK2 development, as well as industry-standard specifications like ACPI, IPMI, PCIe, SMBIOS, and UEFI.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement custom features for the UEFI BIOS.
• Debug complex firmware issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to bring up the system, validate the platform, and triage issues.
