Job summary

Arista Networks is seeking a firmware-focused software engineer to design and maintain BIOS and boot-loading software across Arista products. You will work with CPU vendors, hardware engineers and open-source BIOS communities to bring up new CPUs and ensure secure, reliable EOS booting.

Strong C, C++, and Python skills are required, along with experience in CPU firmware and Linux kernel familiarity. You will mentor others and contribute to system-level reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• BS/ MS / PhD with relevant experience: BS with 3+ years, MS with 2+ years, or PhD with 1+ year.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate and maintain low-level CPU software (firmware, BIOS, boot loader) for Arista products.
• Develop automated tests using C, C++ and Python to validate features.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to qualify CPUs and related components.
• Track Linux Kernel developments and contribute to open BIOS communities.
