Job summary

AgraForm Biologicals, LLC in St. Louis, MO, seeks a Principal Bioprocess Engineer to lead design, start-up, scale-up, and optimization of bioprocesses across fermentation and downstream operations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive safe, reliable manufacturing and support capital projects. Candidates should have 7+ years in bioprocess or biological manufacturing, a chemical engineering background, and proven experience with IQ/OQ/PQ, CPPs/CQAs, DoE, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, biotechnology, or related field.
• Master's or PhD preferred with 7+ years of bioprocess/biological manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead IQ/OQ/PQ for fermentation and downstream equipment.
• Design, optimize, and scale-up fermentation from bench to full production.
• Establish CPPs and CQAs for microbial product lines.
• Lead root-cause analysis and CAPA for deviations or yield excursions.
• Perform process risk assessments (HAZOPs, PHAs) ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Maintain MBRs, SOPs, validation protocols, and regulatory dossiers.
