Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required and absolute for this role.
• 5+ years of process engineering experience in pharma/medical device manufacturing.
• Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices and aseptic biopharm operations, facilities design and operation; know-how in process flow design and optimization; able to analyze data and propose actionable recommendations.
• Strong technical understanding of pharmaceutical engineering; able to prioritize, build options, gain consensus and implement decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, procurement, installation, validation and support of bioprocess equipment and facilities.
• Facilitate cross-disciplinary teams for HAZOPs, FMEA, SOP development and standards.
• Interface with outside engineering firms on process design, compliance and value engineering.
• Manage vendors/contractors to ensure cGMP compliance and proper contract specs.
• Stay current with vaccine/formulation tech; evaluate new technologies to improve throughput.
• Support commissioning/validation, CAPA, changes and deviations; assist audits with technical expertise.
• Participate in technology transfer and ensure proper configuration of process equipment and utilities.
