Job summary

GSK plc, Upper Merion Biopharm site, is seeking a Bioprocess Engineer for the MSAT organization to enable reliable manufacturing of biopharmaceutical products in the 2k or 5k value streams. You will support day-to-day operations, deviations, and continuous improvements, contributing to technology transfers and process enhancements across the product lifecycle.

The role involves leading technical studies, validating scale-up, and collaborating with R&D, contract manufacturers, and global MSAT

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. in a science field such as biotechnology or chemical engineering
• 2+ years of post-graduate industrial experience in technology/biopharmaceutical process development or biopharmaceutical manufacturing
• Experience with scale-up and tech transfer activities across biopharmaceutical processes

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for a 24-7 manufacturing facility with potential off-hours support
• Design and execute studies to support technology transfer, manufacturing execution, and process improvements
• Analyze data and summarize reports to inform recommendations and decisions
• Support introduction and scale-up of primary manufacturing processes transferred from R&D or third parties
• Manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships within the site and global teams
• Monitor process trends and investigate deviations to maintain control within quality goals
• Provide technical training to production staff on new equipment and processes
• Evaluate new products/technologies for site fit and feasibility
