Job summary

Sanofi US Services in Framingham, MA is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist in BioProcess Analytics to support analytical method development and troubleshooting within a multidisciplinary team.

You will independently execute routine and advanced analytical testing (HPLC/UPLC, CE, cIEF, ELISA, LC-MS/MS), help assess new technologies, automate workflows, and drive multiple projects to timely high-quality results. This role offers growth in scientific leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field with 2+ years of experience, OR Master’s degree with 1+ years of experience in a research lab/industry.
• Hands-on experience with separation science techniques for protein characterization (CE, cIEF, UPLC/HPLC, LC-MS).
• Proficiency with data processing software such as Empower, OpenLAB, Chromeleon, 32karat, and Compass.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for Process Science, R&D, Manufacturing, and cross-functional partners by independently executing routine and advanced analytical testing using HPLC/UPLC, CE, cIEF, ELISA, binding assays, impurity analysis, and LC-MS/MS peptide mapping in a non-GMP environment to advance biologics development programs and achieve project milestones.
• Assist in evaluating and developing new cutting-edge technologies, instruments, and analytical methods to streamline assay workflows and solve problems in drug development.
• Advance laboratory automation by developing and applying tools for sample preparation and analytical testing workflows.
• Assess and implement AI/GenAI-enabled solutions to improve data processing, visualization, and decision-making within Bioprocess Analytics.
• Assist and/or lead the establishment of technical methods and author protocols, memos, reports, data analysis summaries, and investigations in a non-GMP setting.
• Maintain laboratory operations, including instrumentation, reagents, consumables, and workspace readiness.
• Manage multiple projects with minimal supervision, including planning, execution, troubleshooting, data interpretation, and timely delivery of high-quality results.
• Communicate scientific findings through technical reports, study protocols, presentations and data-driven recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Build strong cross-functional partnerships across programs to drive scientific and business objectives.
