Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician to respond to service calls, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on complex biomedical equipment. The role may act as a site leader and requires strong customer relations and adherence to GE policies.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of servicing medical equipment and a relevant engineering degree or military equivalent. Strong communication, independence, and the ability to work within a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field with 6+ years of medical equipment servicing
• Military qualification with 6+ years of equipment servicing can substitute
• High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years servicing medical equipment
• Proficient in electronic documentation and Microsoft Office
• Experience maintaining strong customer relations at all levels
• Experience interfacing with internal teams and customers on problem-solving based service
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to customers
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and pass background/drug checks

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and repair complex biomedical equipment, perform PMs and safety checks
• Lead others on GE policies, procedures, and documentation
• Maintain proactive communication with customers for resolution and follow-up
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure effective service delivery
• Manage site contracts and support customer/business goals
• Mentor technicians and delegate tasks within the local team
• Maintain spare parts, tools, and test equipment and calibration
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards
