Aretum is seeking a Biomedical Engineering Support Specialist III to deliver advanced biomedical engineering support for healthcare facilities, ensuring equipment safety, functionality, and regulatory compliance. You will troubleshoot complex devices, perform preventive maintenance, and train staff on proper use and safety practices.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, detail orientation, and a commitment to patient outcomes through high-quality engineering support.

Qualifications

• Five years of hospital or healthcare experience maintaining medical equipment.
• Associate degree or higher in applied science or equivalent training.
• Understanding of regulatory agencies’ requirements and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming and periodic inspections of medical equipment.
• Install, calibrate and test equipment per manufacturer specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot device malfunctions.
• Document activities in VA system per VA standards.
• Maintain inventory and asset records according to VA processes.
