You will ensure medical equipment is safe, functional, and compliant with healthcare regulations while delivering reliable service.

The role involves troubleshooting complex devices, performing preventive maintenance, installing and calibrating equipment, and training staff on proper use and safety practices, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of hospital or healthcare experience performing medical equipment maintenance.
• Associate degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent military training.
• Demonstrated competency to perform operational verification, planned maintenance, and repair on various medical devices.
• Understanding of regulatory agencies’ requirements, industry standards (ISO).
• Familiarity with setup and application of test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming and periodic inspections on medical equipment.
• Conduct quality assurance checks against manufacturer literature for components and performance.
• Install, calibrate and test medical equipment per literature and authorization.
• Manage inventory and asset documentation per VA processes.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks and scheduled/unplanned maintenance.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to identify cause.
• Document activities in VA electronic system.
