Job summary

Sage Bionetworks, a Seattle-founded nonprofit, seeks a Senior Biomedical Research & Data Governance analyst to drive privacy, compliance, and governance across active biomedical research programs. You’ll shape data-sharing policies, align with IRB/HIPAA requirements, and guide ethical data stewardship.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external researchers, design governance frameworks, and mentor others while exploring AI-enabled governance tools to enhance efficiency and integrity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years in a research setting with human biomedical data.
• Experience with IRB, HIPAA, and data use agreements.
• Ability to navigate laws, regulations, and ethics in governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance for research design, data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
• Collaborate with consortia and partners to ensure ethical data sharing.
• Design data governance approaches for responsible data sharing.
• Provide training and documentation on governance standards.
