Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Technical Manager, Biology for our New York offices (Buffalo, Syracuse, or Troy). Lead environmental data collection, analysis, and permitting across diverse biophysical topics.

You will oversee multi-disciplinary project work, mentor staff, and contribute to client-facing proposals while ensuring QA/QC and regulatory compliance. Extensive field and report-writing experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a life sciences field required.
• 15+ years environmental science experience with surveys, impact assessments, and monitoring.
• Experience coordinating with clients, regulators, and staff.
• Leading and reviewing environmental reports and permit applications.
• Familiarity with NEPA/State analyses and related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level guidance for data collection and analysis of biological and environmental data.
• Prepare biological survey reports, impact assessments, and permitting activities.
• Oversee cross-functional project teams including budgets and timelines.
• Develop data visualizations and technical reports to address complex issues.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development and proposals.
