Job summary

Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard in Cambridge, MA seeks a Senior Research Scientist I to advance biologics drug discovery. You will lead antibody engineering campaigns, drive performance across multiple formats, and collaborate with scientists to translate biology into optimized drug candidates.

You will apply deep expertise in antibody biology, developability, and advanced analytics to deliver go/no-go milestones within a fast-paced team environment, with a competitive total rewards package

Qualifications

• PhD in immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, protein engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of post-PhD industry experience in biologics drug discovery.
• Deep technical expertise in antibody biology, structure and function.
• Experience with complex biologics formats (T cell engagers, bispecifics, ADCs, CAR-T related formats).
• Hands-on structure-guided engineering and modeling software (Schrödinger, MOE, PyMOL).
• Expertise in antibody characterization assays and developability assessments by Biacore, Carterra, Octet, ELISA, HPLC, DLS/SLS.

Responsibilities

• Lead antibody and biologics engineering campaigns from concept to lead identification.
• Design and oversee antibody engineering workflows: affinity maturation, humanization, format conversion, Fc engineering, expression, purification, characterization.
• Engineer and evaluate antibodies across IgG, Fab, scFv, multispecific formats and related modalities.
• Characterize candidates using biochemical, biophysical and functional assays for binding, affinity, specificity and developability.
• Collaborate with industry and academic partners on cross-functional projects.
