AbbVie in North Chicago seeks a highly motivated scientist to join QTAS, leading LC/MS bioanalysis, in vitro characterization, and stability studies for novel biologics. You will support method development, data analysis, and report generation while mentoring a small team.

Qualifications

• PhD with 4+ years pharma/biotech bioanalytical experience.
• Deep knowledge of biophysics and stability of biologics.
• Hands-on LC-MS with QQQ/TOF/Orbitrap platforms.
• Experience with in vitro characterization of biologics and ADCs.
• Proficient with Protein Metrics Byos, Mass MetaSite, Empower/Chromeleon, GraphPad Prism.
• Strong publication record; excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain LC/MS instruments to generate high-quality data.
• Perform affinity purification of biotherapeutics including antibodies and ADCs.
• Analyze data and document studies in electronic lab notebooks; communicate findings.
• Support method development for quantitative bioanalysis and in vivo stability.
• Evaluate new in vitro tools to assess serum aggregation and stability of biologics.
• Coordinate submissions and review in vitro stability data with QTAS and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor/ supervise a team of 2–3 scientists; stay current with literature and AI tools.
