Job summary

Natera is seeking a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to join our Bioinformatics team dedicated to early cancer detection. You will design and implement innovative computational solutions, developing algorithms and pipelines for large-scale genomic datasets to advance early-stage cancer diagnostics.

The ideal candidate holds a PhD in a quantitative field and 0–3 years of experience in bioinformatics, with strengths in Python, NGS analysis, and scalable workflow development in AWS environments.

Qualifications

• PhD required in a quantitative field (Bioinformatics/CS/Statistics/Cancer Biology).
• 0–3 years of bioinformatics or computational biology experience.

Responsibilities

• Innovate, design, and validate advanced algorithms and models for large genomic datasets.
• Co-architect and deploy automated analysis workflows for clinical diagnostics (variant calling, fusion detection, QC).
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and optimization of computational infrastructure.
• Analyze multi-omic data with high-performance pipelines in collaboration with wet-lab scientists and statisticians.
