Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. (SARA) in Colorado Springs seeks a Research Engineer specializing in bioelectromagnetics to advance electromagnetic systems interacting with biological tissues.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team on long- and short-term programs for medical devices and health technologies. The role requires a strong theoretical and practical background in bioelectromagnetics, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced engineering

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or related field with focus on bioelectromagnetics.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in bioelectromagnetic research or engineering.
• Strong foundation in electromagnetic theory and its application to biological systems.
• Proficiency in simulation tools (COMSOL, CST) and programming languages (Python, MATLAB).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; effective communication and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and test electromagnetic systems and devices for multiple applications.
• Research interaction of electromagnetic fields with biological tissues and develop predictive models.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate electromagnetic technologies.
• Analyze data from experiments and simulations; prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to multidisciplinary projects.
