Job summary
Thornton Tomasetti seeks a Senior BIM Modeler to support 3D parametric modeling and 2D construction documents for complex projects. You’ll work with the DC office’s project managers along with regional BIM teams to ensure consistent BIM execution across structural engineering projects, including BIM execution planning, Revit standards, QA/QC, workflow optimization, and staff development.
The ideal candidate is self-directed, technically skilled, and comfortable across all phases of building
Qualifications
- Significant design experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Understanding of structural building components and construction documents.
- Strong 3D parametric modeling skills to maximize BIM benefits.
- Experience with BIM 360/ACC and QA/QC processes.
- Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Implement and support global BIM standards and workflows.
- Oversee BIM execution on projects, including modeling, documentation, and QA/QC.
- Serve as primary Revit contact and provide technical support.
- Mentor Revit users and identify training needs.
- Develop structural plans from 3D BIM models for varied projects.
