Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical in Lithia Springs, GA is seeking a full-time BIM Engineer for data center projects. You will lead and coordinate BIM models, work with engineers and field teams, and ensure constructible designs meet client requirements.

Responsibilities include model setup, clash detection, BOM generation, and mentorship of BIM staff; strong Revit/AutoCAD/Navisworks skills and electrical systems knowledge required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/CM/architecture or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5–10 years of BIM coordination/engineering in electrical construction or data centers.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and related BIM software.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, conduit routing, and constructability.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and coordination of 3D BIM models for electrical systems.
• Oversee model setup, file structure, and version control.
• Collaborate with disciplines to ensure model accuracy and constructability.
• Perform clash detection reviews and resolve coordination issues.
• Produce shop drawings and as-built models for field installation.
• Generate BOMs and quantities from BIM models for procurement.
• Support BIM execution planning and ensure compliance with standards.
• Interface with project engineers and field teams to translate design intent.
• Help develop BIM workflows, templates, best practices.
• Provide mentorship and technical support to BIM Modelers.
