Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, seeks a full-time BIM Engineer-Data Center in Lithia Springs, Georgia to lead and coordinate BIM for large-scale mission critical projects, collaborating with modelers, engineers, and field teams.

You will develop 3D models for electrical systems, manage model setup and version control, run clash detection, produce shop drawings, BOMs, and support BIM execution planning.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years BIM coordination/engineering experience in electrical construction, data center preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and related BIM software.
• Ability to interpret drawings and perform clash detection and coordination meetings.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and coordination of 3D BIM models for electrical systems.
• Oversee model setup, file structure, and version control per standards.
• Conduct clash detection reviews and resolve coordination issues with teams.
• Produce shop drawings, installation drawings, and as-built models for field use.
• Generate BOMs and quantities from BIM models to aid procurement and controls.
• Support BIM execution planning and compliance with project requirements.
• Mentor BIM Modelers and provide technical guidance as needed.
