Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, is seeking a full-time BIM Detailer for data center projects in Lithia Springs, GA. You will support BIM Modelers, finishing work on large-scale data centers, producing shop drawings and BOMs, and annotating existing BIM models.

You will coordinate with the BIM team to resolve clashes and ensure constructible designs. Responsibilities include preparing installation drawings and as-builts, supporting prefabrication with detailed drawings, and maintaining

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in BIM modeling/detailing in electrical construction, data center experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and related BIM software.
• Understanding of electrical systems, conduit routing and constructability on large projects.
• Experience with clash detection and coordination with other trades.
• Strong attention to detail and organization; ability to interpret docs and markups.

Responsibilities

• Assist BIM Modelers and finish work on large-scale data center projects.
• Annotate and document existing BIM models for mission critical projects.
• Collaborate with BIM Modelers to achieve constructible designs.
• Assist with clash detection and resolve conflicts as directed by BIM dept.
• Prepare shop drawings, installation drawings, and as-builts for field teams.
• Support prefabrication by producing detailed shop drawings for shop fabrication.
• Maintain project standards, client requirements, and IES quality guidelines.
• Maintain BIM project files, naming conventions, and file management per IES standards.
• Communicate effectively to ensure models reflect real-world conditions.
• Assist other areas to support team goals and project success.
