Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a BIM Engineer to lead Building Information Modeling standards and governance across large-scale facilities projects in Casa Grande, AZ. You will configure Autodesk Construction Cloud, manage templates, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate, traceable project information from design through operations.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years BIM experience, strong Revit/Navisworks/AutoCAD skills, and a track record of digital handover strategies.

Qualifications

• Degree in architecture, engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years BIM execution and governance experience on large projects.
• Proficiency with ACC, Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD.
• Experience creating BIM Execution Plans and templates.
• Familiarity with automation scripting for BIM.
• Experience with digital handover strategies and lifecycle documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication.
• English proficiency for technical work.

About The Role

The BIM Engineer serves as Lucid’s subject matter expert for Building Information Modeling, Autodesk Construction Cloud administration, and model governance. This role ensures consistent BIM standards and digital coordination practices that provide accurate, traceable, and maintainable project information from initial design through construction and long-term facility operations.

What You Own

• Define, maintain, and enforce Lucid BIM standards, file-naming conventions, and digital deliverable requirements.
• Configure and administer Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) projects, including permissions, workflows, issue tracking, and model coordination environments.
• Manage Revit templates, model health checks, linking and shared coordinate workflows, and ensure optimized model usability.
• Oversee multidisciplinary BIM coordination, reviewing federated models for compliance and alignment across trades.
• Establish document-control requirements, including naming conventions, metadata, and version management.
• Define as-built and handover deliverable requirements, coordinating receipt of final models, drawings, and supporting records.
• Identify gaps in existing facility documentation and support corrective measures in coordination with internal and external partners.
• Provide BIM training, technical support, and process guidance to internal teams and external project stakeholders.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and automation strategies to improve traceability and BIM process efficiency.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience with BIM execution and governance for large-scale building or industrial projects.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD platforms.
• Experience creating BIM Execution Plans, model templates, and naming conventions.
• Familiarity with automation tools or scripting for BIM processes.
• Background in developing digital handover strategies and lifecycle documentation standards.
• Understanding of BIM standards, metadata structures, and model coordination practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills for cross-functional and external partner interactions.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the essential duties of the position, including understanding work instructions, safety procedures, and job-related communications.

Work Requirement

Onsite presence required at the Lucid facility in Casa Grande, AZ.

Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a 401(k) retirement plan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
