Job summary

Lucid Motors seeks a hardware-focused engineer to design, validate, and optimize battery management systems for its electric vehicles. You will prototype and test BMS hardware, contributing to drivetrain and vehicle integrations from prototype to production.

Work closely with mechanical design, manufacturing and supply chain to scale the product for mass production. Strong electronics background and hands-on debugging are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electronic or electrical engineering or higher.
• Experience with BMS hardware design preferred.
• Hands-on hardware development and troubleshooting experience.

The Role:

• Design, validate, and enhance battery management system (BMS) for electricvehicles
• Be responsible for prototyping, testing and validation of BMS.
• Contribute to drivetrain and vehicle level integrations from prototype toproduction
• Work closely with mechanical design, manufacturing and supply chain to bring the product into massproduction
• Be part of a team to develop amazing electronicsproducts

Qualifications:

• Solid background in electronics components and circuits
• Debugging/validation experience with MCU,OpAmp, AD/DA, SPI, CAN, etc.
• Hands on experience for hardware development and troubleshooting
• Experience in PCB design, using schematic capture and layouttools
• Familiar with various equipment (Oscilloscope, probe, power analyzer, etc.)
• Experience in EMI test andmitigation

Preferred:

• PhD in Electrical Engineering+ 0 years relevant experience
• Masters in electrical engineering+ 3 years relevant experience
• Bachelors in electrical engineering + 5 years relevant experience
• Hands on experience with BMS hardware design
• Knowledge of FPGA design & implementation
• Knowledge of safety and EMI requirements related to high powerapplications
• Familiarity with embedded software design
• Experience with Vector CANape/CANalyzer
• Experience with high-voltage

Minimum:

• Bachelors in the areas of electronic or electrical engineering.

Salary Range

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$144,000 — $198,000 USD

Compensation & Benefits:

Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a401(k) retirementplan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off.Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
