Job summary

Prism Electric seeks a Senior BIM Designer to advance 3D modeling and BIM coordination for electrical construction projects in Texas and Oklahoma. The role includes mentoring junior staff, maintaining BIM budgets, and collaborating across disciplines on design/build initiatives.

You will work with Revit, Navisworks Manage, and NEC requirements to deliver accurate models, schedules, and materials for procurement and field use.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of CAD design experience in Electrical Commercial Construction.
• Proficient with NEC knowledge and code compliance.
• Strong reading of construction blueprints and specs.
• Clear written and verbal communication; team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Build 3D models using field layouts in Revit and Navisworks.
• BIM coordination including clash detection and resolution using Navisworks Manage.
• Upload models and follow GC lead BIM coordination through to Model Sign Off.
• Mentor BIM Designers and Detailers.
• Manage BIM budgets with the BIM Manager/VDC Director.
• Collaborate with operation teams, GC, and MEP Trade members.
• Assist with design/build projects in model creation.
• Develop and maintain Revit templates, details, and graphic standards.
• Produce Bill of Materials for procurement/labor tracking.
