Prism Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior BIM Designer to join a hybrid role in Garland, TX. You will build 3D models in Revit and Navisworks, coordinate BIM activities, and mentor junior designers while collaborating with the BIM Manager, project team, and field staff.

Requires 8+ years CAD drafting in Electrical Commercial Construction, NEC knowledge, and strong blueprint reading skills. Excellent multi-project coordination and self-motivation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of CAD drafting experience in Electrical Commercial Construction.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Ability to read construction blueprints and project specs.
• Strong communication and multi-project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Build 3D models in Revit and Navisworks from field layouts.
• Perform BIM coordination and clash detection/resolution.
• Upload models and support BIM coordination processes to Sign Off.
• Mentor BIM Designers and Detailers.
• Support BIM budgets with Manager/VDC Director and team.
• Collaborate with operations, GC, and MEP trades during design/build.
• Develop and maintain Revit templates, details, and standards.
• Produce bill of materials for procurement and labor tracking.
