Job summary

Hunt Electric seeks a skilled BIM Designer 3 to join our electrical VDC team in the United States. You will develop and coordinate 3D electrical models, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure models align with BIM execution plans and standards.

Key tasks include modeling with Revit, resolving clashes with Navisworks, preparing drawings and BOMs, and leading BIM coordination meetings on medium to large projects. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in BIM coordination or electrical design within the construction industry.
• Experience on medium-to-scale projects with complex electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and refine 3D models for electrical systems using Revit.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and industry trades to ensure seamless model integration.
• Maintain project models per BIM execution plans and project standards.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve clashes using Navisworks or similar tools.
• Prepare technical drawings and ensure compliance with project specs and industry standards.
• Generate schedules and BOMs from BIM models to support procurement and construction teams.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings and communicate with stakeholders.
• Assist in planning BIM workflows for medium to large projects and manage deadlines.
• Support the creation and enforcement of BIM standards across projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve modeling workflows and implement new tools.
• Train Designer 1 & 2 in BIM best practices.
