Job summary

Thompson Hine LLP seeks a Senior Billing Specialist to manage all aspects of the client billing process for an assigned group of attorneys across multiple Ohio offices, with flexibility for the Atlanta, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, or Dayton locations. The role requires handling complex prebills, drafts, and e-bills across platforms.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in billing within a law or professional services firm, strong Excel skills, and experience with Aderant and eBilling

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s preferred.
• 5+ years as Billing Coordinator or Specialist in a law or professional services firm.
• Experience with Aderant Financial Systems, Classic, Elite, BillBlast, or eBilling Hub.
• Proficiency with multiple client billing platforms.
• Strong organization and time management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Customer service focus and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare prebills and draft bills for attorney review and approval.
• Review prebills/draft bills for client guidelines compliance.
• Prepare, submit, track, and monitor e-bills across platforms.
• Address billing rejections and reductions and resolve issues.
• Provide billing reports and ad-hoc analyses upon request.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff; maintain detailed billing notes.
