Job summary

NYU Langone Health in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Billing Representative III (HB A/R) to perform advanced billing and financial clearance functions, including claims management, complex denial resolution, authorizations, and patient cost estimates.

You will lead escalated issues, support staff, participate in training, and contribute to process improvement while ensuring compliance, confidentiality, and timely, accurate claims processing.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, or related duties.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Experience with medical billing software.
• Strong English usage, grammar, and spelling.
• 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Light keyboarding skills; typing 35 wpm or greater.

Responsibilities

• Perform billing tasks including data entry, claim review, and AR follow-up.
• Input system edits and policies to maximize revenues.
• Identify payer issues and coordinate with management.
• Follow training and workqueue workflows.
• Appeal complex denials; coordinate with internal experts.
• Cross-cover other billing areas as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and compliance.
