Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, insurance, or related duties.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD‑10.
• Familiarity with medical billing software.
• Strong English usage, grammar and spelling.

Responsibilities

• Perform billing tasks including data entry, claim review, charge review, AR follow-up, insurance authorization, patient estimates, or related duties.
• Provide input on system edits, processes, policies, and billing procedures to maximize revenues.
• Handle daily tasks in assigned work queues for claims, authorizations, and financial clearance.
• Identify payer, provider credentialing, and/or coding issues and address them with management.
• Follow training workflows and requestadditional training as needed.
• Use Pathways to resolve unpaid or incorrectly paid claims, authorize procedures, or prepare patient estimates.
• Review reports to identify revenue opportunities and unpaid claims.
• Maintain compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Communicate with providers, patients, coders, or other staff to resolve billing issues.
• Work per operational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in meetings and training; cross-cover other areas as assigned.
