Job summary

Juniper Square is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to manage escalating billing complexity in a fast-paced, SaaS environment. You will collaborate with Billing & Collections, Finance, and CX to ensure accurate invoicing, cash application, and process improvements across Zone.

You will leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, handle complex contracts, and guide teammates through workflows. Prior experience in services/SaaS is preferred, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in professional billing with complex billing scenarios.
• Ability to analyze vague contract terms for billing implications.
• Familiarity with Zone or NetSuite-native billing software; ability to train others.
• Proficiency in cash applications and posting payments against invoices.
• Experience with Salesforce for contract/account data.
• Comfort using AI tools to improve workflows.
• Experience in services/SaaS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts to determine correct billing treatment.
• Process invoices and credit memos for complex scenarios.
• Guide teammates on invoice processing workflows in Zone.
• Ensure invoice accuracy before sending to customers.
• Respond to billing inquiries with timely, accurate answers.
• Perform daily cash application and match payments to invoices.
• Follow up on past-due accounts with escalation as needed.
• Monitor AR aging and flag at-risk balances.
