Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Senior Billing Liaison to ensure 100% charge capture by reviewing physician notes and operative reports and coding services with CPT, ICD-10-CM codes and modifiers. Daily EPIC Charge Review work queues must be reviewed; analyze payer compliance and billing processes.

Maintain CPC certification and participate in coding training to stay current. The ideal candidate will have CPC certification, 5 years of coding experience (surgical/cardiology preferred), and

Qualifications

• AAPC certification is required.
• 5 years of coding experience preferred; surgical and/or cardiology coding experience is also preferred.
• High school diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Review work queues and billing forms for correct coding; assign CPT, ICD-10 codes and modifiers as needed.
• Create reports to analyze division revenue, claims follow-up and denials; provide feedback and improvement ideas.
• Attend monthly meetings with division heads or physicians; provide billing operation reports.
• Act as a coding resource to assigned divisions and other liaisons.
• Maintain CPC certification and attend coding in-services and seminars.
• Track third‑party payment issues affecting division revenues and report trends to the manager.
• Communicate regularly with the Central Business Office on claim issues.
• Advise divisions of CPT and ICD-10 code changes and reimbursement implications.
• Communicate with Coding Integrity department on coding issues.
• Remain compliant with insurance, CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and state/federal requirements for clean claim submission.
