Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is hiring a Senior Billing Liaison/Coder for a remote, nationwide role. You will review physician notes and operative reports to ensure accurate CPT and ICD-10 coding, monitor EPIC Charge Review work queues, and report on accounts receivable trends.

Regular communication with providers and the Central Business Office is essential. Ideal candidates hold an AAPC certification, have up to 5 years coding experience, and are proficient in CPT/ICD-10 coding.

Qualifications

• AAPC Certification required
• Up to 5 years coding experience preferred
• High school diploma required

Responsibilities

• Review work queues and billing forms; assign CPT/ICD-10 codes and modifiers
• Create reports to analyze division revenue, follow-up and denials
• Attend monthly meetings with division heads or physicians; provide billing reports
• Serve as coding resource to divisions and other liaisons
• Maintain CPC certification and attend coding in-services
• Track third-party payment issues and report trends to manager
• Communicate with Central Business Office on claim issues
• Advise divisions on CPT/ICD-10 changes and reimbursement impact
• Coordinate with Coding Integrity on coding issues
• Stay updated on CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS requirements for clean claims
