Job summary

UIC Arctic Operations & Development seeks a Senior Billing & AR Specialist to handle billing, accounts receivable, and financial statements across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

The role supports project invoicing, cost reviews, and audit readiness, while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls. A BA/BS in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years in project accounting is preferred, along with Sage 300 and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of three (3) years accounting experience plus previous project accounting experience required.
• Experience with project accounting and GAAP compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily administration and support of projects, including setup and documentation.
• Review project costs weekly and prepare invoicing with PMs on a monthly basis.
• Assist with review of requisitions, POs and subcontracts as needed.
• Support month-end close by reviewing GL accounts, journal entries and WIP schedules.
