Job summary

Partner company seeks a senior Big Data Architect IT Consultant Master in the United States to design and lead an enterprise data platform modernization. You will work remotely on Databricks, Azure, Data Lake, and Synapse, providing technical leadership across data warehousing, analytics, and data science initiatives.

You will coordinate projects, develop scalable data solutions, and ensure standards, security, and operational reliability while collaborating with a senior data team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years implementing modern Big Data storage and analytics platforms (Databricks/Data Lakes).
• 5+ years of modern Big Data architecture and cloud networking on Azure.
• 5+ years of data platform operations, warehousing, pipelines, auditing, and cost management.
• 3+ years APIs/web services (REST/SOAP).
• 3+ years real-time streaming and data science tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and support enterprise Big Data and Data Lake architecture using Databricks, Azure, and Synapse.
• Coordinate IT project management, engineering, maintenance, QA, and risk management.
• Plan, organize, monitor project activities to meet objectives and standards.
• Develop technical applications and data solutions for end users and operations.
• Establish and enforce standards for system design and documentation.
• Oversee deployment of data platform components, including runtimes and data warehouses.
• Support data integration with Esri, Tableau, MicroStrategy, and Oracle.
• Maintain data pipelines for structured and unstructured data sources.
• Monitor real-time databases, data communications, and analytics applications.
• Troubleshoot issues and coordinate resolutions; perform upgrades.
• Provide training on system products, processes, and procedures.
