Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a senior proposal manager to lead end-to-end bid development for industrial water treatment projects across North America. You will coordinate application engineering, design, sourcing, contract management, and compliance to deliver competitive proposals.

The role requires 8+ years of proposal management or related experience in UPW or high-purity water systems for semiconductor clients, with strong leadership, coordination, and risk-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• 8+ years in proposal management, applications engineering, or project management in industrial water treatment.
• Direct familiarity with Ultrapure Water (UPW) or semiconductor water systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead a Bid Team including Engineering, Sourcing, Contract Management to align all proposal elements.
• Own end-to-end proposal development from RFP planning to submission.
• Drive strategy discussions and regular cadence calls for a competitive approach.
• Create schedules and responsibility matrices to ensure timely deliveries.
• Perform compliance reviews to meet all RFP/RFQ requirements.
• Foster continuous improvement and capture lessons learned for better proposals.

• Present during Leadership reviews and assist Sales with client interactions.

Job Description

The position can be remote. This individual can work anywhere in North America.

Note: This is a mechanical/chemical process engineering role within industrial water treatment. Candidates must have direct experience in high-purity water, UPW systems, or semiconductor water infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Leading a Bid Team consisting of individuals performing functions such as Application Engineering, Process Design, Sourcing, Contract Management, and others to ensure all elements of the offer are aligned with our strategic intent
• Lead end-to-end proposal development from RFP planning through final submission.
• Facilitate strategy discussions, kick-off meetings, and regular rhythm calls to guide teams toward a unified, competitive proposal approach.
• Develop and maintain detailed schedules and responsibility assignments to ensure complete and timely fulfillment of all requirements
• Conduct thorough compliance reviews of all proposal materials, confirming that required content meet every stated RFP/RFQ requirements
• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by taking on assigned initiatives and consistently tracking proposal performance capturing lessons learned and implementing meaningful enhancements that elevate proposal quality over time
• Structuring system solutions, including collaborating with the sales team and extended bid teams to develop technical and commercial strategy, scope, execution model, construction partner identification/qualification (as required by deal structure) and pricing
• Identification, evaluation, prioritization, and development of risk mitigation and opportunity identification strategies (performance, contractual, execution, etc.)
• Preparing information and presenting during Leadership reviews
• Assisting the Sales team with client interaction and negotiation
• Developing and nurturing relationships with key, cross-functional, internal stakeholders across the Veolia business including Projects, Services and Chemical Solutions & Monitoring (CSM)
• Analysing and adjusting strategy based on new data/feedback

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
• 8+ years of proposal management, applications engineering, or project management experience within industrial water treatment, with direct familiarity in Ultrapure Water (UPW), high-purity water systems, or water systems serving semiconductor / microelectronics clients
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi volume proposals
• Familiarity with design-build, progressive design-build delivery methods
• Experience in identification and mitigation of business risks
• Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
