Job summary

Safelite is seeking a Senior Manager of BI Engineering and Data Products to lead enterprise analytics initiatives and build a high-performing BI organization at the Columbus office.

The role will define the technical direction for scalable BI platforms, partner with Data Engineering and IT to deliver durable roadmaps, and drive trusted analytics at scale. In-office work is required most days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, or related field.
• 7-9 years hands on experience in a data engineering or analytics related role.
• 4-6 years managing a technical team.
• 7-9 years Advanced SQL development, including complex transformations, performance optimization, and data modeling.
• 4-6 years Experience with modern cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake).
• 4-6 years Experience using Python for data transformation, automation, or analytics workflows.
• 4-6 years Experience with modern analytics engineering tools (e.g., dbt, Fivetran) and CI/CD practices.
• Expert-level SQL knowledge and complex transformations.
• Advanced Python proficiency for analytics engineering and automation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for BI Engineering and Data Products team and set architectural direction.
• Decompose and lead execution of complex BI engineering problems across functional areas.
• Oversee BI pipeline quality from semantic layers to dashboards and data products.
• Design and evolve BI semantic and reporting architecture with enterprise alignment.
• Communicate business and technical value of BI initiatives to leadership.
• Oversee governance and operations of BI platforms like Tableau Cloud.
