Job summary

Humana Inc. seeks a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to support reporting, data engineering, dashboards, Power Platform solutions, and ad hoc analytics using internal and external data to deliver insights for business partners.

The role requires strong SQL, Power BI, Power BI Desktop, Power BI Report Builder, PowerApps, Power Automate, and Databricks data engineering skills, with preference for Python/PySpark, healthcare data, and AI/ML development in Databricks.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree is required.
Minimum 5 years of SQL experience with complex queries across multiple sources.
Minimum 2 years using Databricks for data engineering, pipelines and transformations.
Experience building dashboards with Power BI tools (Power BI, Desktop, Report Builder).
Experience building or supporting PowerApps and Power Automate workflows.
Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguous business requests and translate into actionable solutions.

Responsibilities

Maintain and enhance data pipelines, reporting datasets, dashboards, and analytics assets.
Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate needs into scalable data, reporting, and automation solutions.
Research source systems, data definitions, ownership, and lineage to support solutions.
Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, summarize, and analyze data.
Build dashboards, paginated reports, and analytical products using Power BI tools.
Develop and support PowerApps solutions to improve workflows and access to insights.
Develop and support Power Automate flows to streamline processes and reporting.
Build and support data engineering solutions in Databricks, including pipelines and transformations.
Support modernization efforts as data processes expand within Databricks and contribute to AI/ML initiatives.
